What can I do to Support SFA?

Authors
To be listed on SFA, authors must use the SFA Listing form to send us their details - See the contact page. There is no charge or fee to be listed on SFA.
We will list your name, title, isbn and website on SFA under your book's genre. Your title will also be added to our widgets where possible.
You are required to donate only one book to a SFA beneficiary of your choice. If you have other titles you wish to donate, these too can be listed. You can also list further titles as you have them published. See Q&A below.
You do not have to list with SFA to donate a book.

What else can you do to support SFA?
Post in our Forum
Send us a comment on SFA or give your thoughts on literacy issues.
Place a SFA badge on your website and mention SFA in your blogs and on your website.
You do not have to be listed on SFA to donate books to our beneficiaries and you may add a supporter messege to your donation.

No discrimination policy
SFA accepts traditionally, self-published titles and e-books. Listings are placed as SFA receives them and will not be reorganised, no matter your status, e.g. bestseller, celebrity or generosity.

E-book Authors
E-books are also important. Authors can be listed on SFA by donating a copy of their title or titles to World Public Library, another of our beneficiaries. Once your listing is up on SFA, add your book image to the slide show or send it too us to be added.

Supporters
Adopt an author. Choose a title from one of our authors. Insert the ISBN number into the Amazon search box or use the carousels for direct links to books. Place a SFA badge on your website and mention SFA in your blogs and on your website.

Send or ship books directly to a SFA beneficiary. See our Beneficiaries page for addresses and further information on their charitable works.

For Agents, Publishers, Writer's Sites and other supporters.
How to be a VIP supporter of SFA and get a banner link on our home, beneficiary and links pages. SFA asks that -
A: You make mention of SFA in a blog, newsletter or website.
B: Place a SFA badge on your website.
C: If you do not wish to do any of the above, let us know your worthy contribution to a beneficiary.
Use the SFA Contact form to send us your request to be a VIP Supporter.

Placing a message with any donation, whether you order on line or send a book from home.

Ordering from books stores - Usually they give you a gift item option during the checkout procedure.

Q&A

Q: Can I send more than one copy of my title and other titles I have published?
A: Yes. You can send as many books as you wish. SFA only requires authors to send one book to a beneficiary of their choice to be listed on SFA.

Q: Can I send other books from my own library?
A: See beneficiaries information. Most accept new and used books.

Q: If I adopt an author, can I purchase their book for myself and after reading it then send it to a beneficiary?
A: Yes. Authors would be happy to gain a new reader.

Q: What if I purchase an SFA author's book and don't want to part with it after reading it?
A: You own the book; you are not obligated to part with it.

Q: Can I adopt more than one author?
A: Yes, as many as you like.

Q: How do I know the beneficiary is getting a book I purchased?
A: You send it or have it shipped directly to them. Please do not send books to SFA.

Q: As an author, I can claim tax on a donation. Does SFA beneficiaries send receipts?
A: See our beneficiaries websites for their tax donation policies.

Q: Do I have to contact a SFA author if I purchase and ship one of their titles?
A: No.

Q: I'm a struggling author, can I still get a listing without donating one of my books?
A: Yes. As SFA does not want to cause authors hardship or embarrassment, an author can donate a little of their time to be listed on SFA. Just drop us a line through our supporter contact form to be sent the details.

Q: Why is there no log in?
A: This is a charitable service. We are not out to build lists. However, this site will be continually improved and updated and this may occur in the future.
